Ageaya

Proceeding well with ageaya. It is an easy weave once heddles are established. Gives more 'sparkle' to the fabric but washes out the color. I like the effect.

  1. Beautiful weaving!
You have achieved a tantalizing pattern in this fabric. The sett looks very close, and I expect the warp ends number at least 1500. I wonder what this weave structure is. Are you weaving with cotton and/or linen?
    Regards.

  2. Oops. I have just referred to your links, and I gather that you might be weaving with a silk weft and possibly a gilded paper warp; no doubt this presents an interesting challenge.
I do like the photos of contemporary saganishiki fabric.
